Question about Samsung SlimFit TX-S2783 TV

Picture Inconsistency (Blurring)

I recently bought a Samsung Slimfit 30" Widescreen HDTV (Model# TX-R3079WH) and I've noticed a small problem with the picture. On either the left and right side of the screen I notice the image sort of blurs and warps near the edges, way more on the right hand side than the left. You don't really notice it with images but you can really see it if there is any text near the edge. I called a TV repair person to come look at it, and he said he didn't notice a huge problem but he would contact Samsung to see what he could do. It's not a huge problem but it just bugs me, any ideas what might cause this or what solutions I could try? Thanks

    i also bought this tv and have noticed this blurring on both the left and right side of the screen. It is really hard to play games as it is very blurry

Keep in contact with Samsung or the repair depot, as they may hook you along till the warranty is up and then want to charge you big bucks. Ok if your not happy with this set, go back to the store where you bought it, and compair it with one they have on the floor. If there are not any, tell them your not happy with the set and see what they will do about it. If you get no where with them, contact Samsung directly and they are easaly found online. Look for a monitor cable with 15 pin RGB plugs on each end, that will transmit the video portion of the signal so you will need an audio cable with 3.5mm plug on each end also, there are RGB cables that have the audio cable together as one big cable.

your picture tubes is going bad. i've had 5 yes 5 of these tv's replaced by samsung/bestbuy. i've kept buying the PSP (product Service plan) now my most recent tv is doing the same. samsung no longer makes the picture tube for this model. i've already called them. it was a nice tv. i've gotten about 6 months out of each model. I'm moving on the LCD, nice rca 32 inch HDtv model at walmart for less than 500.00.
