Faded pics with lines through them

My camera is approximately 2 years old, never had any problems with it, until now.. it decided that it doesn't want to take clear pictures anymore.. every pic that i take looks very faded and has white horizontal lines going through.. i tried to reset the cam, that didn't work... the pictures that were previously taken still come out fine on the screen... what should i do?

I had my fe-47 for several years and it has been a great camera until 2 days ago. All outside pics are washed out but still takes inside pics. I have know idea what is going on.

It is over nine years old now, and replacements are available from £25. Or why not upgrade to a more up-to-date model ? Yours is probably just worn out - five years is considered the average period of use for a compact digital camera, as new models are continuously appearing.

Camera is telling me 'change the battery pack' but both of the battery has been fully charged (and the spare battery). Camera and batteries are approximately 5 years old.

I have had this same problem with Canon digital cameras. It seems that either the contacts in the camera or the batteries make a weak contact. On one such camera I can move the battery cover back and forth across the batteries and it will sometimes made good contact. Try cleaning the batteries with steel wool. I am not sure how you can improve the camera's contacts.

My sony dsc w-55 is 2 years old and now sometimes it shuts down in middle of recording or taking a pic...plz help

Check/clean the battery connections (use a cotton swab with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol). Also if that doesn't work, is the battery as old as the camera? If so, it definitely may be time for a new battery. Here's some to consider from Amazon.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

Re: Kodak EasyShare C613

HAVE YOU TRIED USING ANY OF THE OTHER SETTINGS ON THE CAMERA IN THE DAYTIME? I.E., LIKE IN MOTION, LOW LIGHT, BEST SETTING, ETC. ARE THEY ALL THE SAME?DO THE LINES SHOW UP ON THE LCD DISPLAY? SOUNDS LIKE A PROBLEM WITH THE DAYLIGHT SENSORS INPUTING BAD INFO TO THE CAMERA. HAVE YOU TRIED THE ALMOST WORTHLESS KODAK CUSTOMER SERVICE WEBSITE? THIS SOUNDS LIKE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR CAMERA THAT IS ONLY HAPPENING DURING DAYLIGHT EXPOSURE.

Nintendo DS Lite Touch Screen Fades

You're going to have to send it in for repair. It sounds like it's out of warranty, which is unfortunate.

Hoizontal lines in images

The problem is faulty CCD sensor ( this device converts light into image ) so faulty sensor means either poor quality pics or no pics at all. Have sensor replaced and camera will work fine.

Faded screen with lines across screen

hi Jenredd, i think there is something wrong with ccd, if so it is serious... . I experienced some disturbed picture on lcd or whole black lcd due to ccd problem. As u said you pictures are fadded it means may be ccd is damaged. If so you have to replace the ccd at any authorised repairer for fuji. as you mentioned other problem there is nothing common between both. for that i suppose there is some problem in either usb socket or cord , so first check the cord, if it is ok then we can doubt on usb socket. But in both the way you have to go to Fuji . good luck
