Question about Samsung DMT300RFS Builtin Dishwasher
Low level water error comes up. Manual solution: with the dishwasher empty, add detergent and then run accycle. i've don it. It worked on one load. the same error came up on the next load however. Any sugestions greatly appreciated. Thank you Peter C.
A Samsung service tech showed me how to fix this one. You can take that float and the white box apart from the dishwasher and once opened, if its like mine, there will be gunk on the float and in the box at the line where it fills with water. This gunk floats in there and prevents the float from swinging and activating the switch. Just clean that gunk out with a toothbrush, I end up doing mine about once every four months, and it should work fine again. This tech said to prevent this, make sure the water is hot at the beginning of the cycle and pre-rinse the dishes-but this doesn't seem to work with mine.

I did exactly what was said in the first post and it worked like a charm. There were a lot of screws but if I had to pay a service guy to clean my machine I would have been mad at myself. Thank you, you solved an issue that has been angering me for weeks

Our unit started displaying code 9E after filling, draining and filling again. At the beginning it was enough just to restart it. Finally this trick didn't work anymore. Before calling service for out of warranty I decided to take the unit out of the cabinet and start it. Of course this didn't fixed the problem. Then i noticed where the water comes in and I took off the panel on the left side bottom.
Under the panel there is a white box that has a floater inside. The floater is pushing a lever that actuates a micro switch. I noticed that the lever wasn't moving as the machine started to fill in with water. The lever was stuck. An easy touch on the lever fixed the problem and the machine started working.
I will put back the washer for now but if it happens again in the next future i'll have to find a more permanent fix.

Do you hear the washer draining (into the sink drain) after it fills and should start washing? Check that nothing (sound deadener, etc.) is interferring with the drain valve lever arm.

This is brand new? Simple. Call the salesman and tell him the trouble. It is covered under warranty. If you fool with it you will void the warranty.

I would remove and examine the wash arms to see if any of the holes are plugged with food or mineral deposits. Clear any food with a paper clip. If you have mineral deposits, remove the deposits with Lime Away or CLR cleaner. Hope this helps you.

I just had this same problem, and I think I figured it out. There was water on the bottom from the last cycle, so I pressed HEAVY and DELICATE at the same time for 3 seconds (you'll see it printed on the control panel), and the unit drained. I was then able to start the new cycle normally without the error. Hope that helps!
