Double Image When I turn on the projector there is a distinct double image. After about 5 minutes it gets somewhat better and sometimes disapears altogether, but it will always comeback to stay after about 30-60 minutes.

I have the same issue..
I have isolated it to an electronics problem rather than the polarization filters. If you put a full screen color image such as red on there are some black bars to the right... If you adjust where the image is centered using the controls on the projector these bars move.. Anyway I'd guess theres some bad caps on the board since this thing has loads of electrolytics in it.. Unfortunately I have no ESR meter to check it with.

I had the exact same problem with my z3, Turnes out it was the blue filter. I used the full service manual, and managed to fix mine using the diagrams, and troubleshooting section.
Unplug the TV from the ac wall outlet for about 4 minutes then plug it back in and turn it on. If it still has a double image then tell me if it's affecting the menu screen from the TV (not the cable menu). And is the double image in red and blue?
