    LAMPS ?

I have no problems with the picture ever before.

Are these lamps can be replaced? Do you have any idea how much they cost?

    Thanks

You said lamps, are there more than one projection lamp? Please explain

Can the three lamps be burned out at the same time?

Is there any fuse that could be burned out?

Sounds like maybe the lamps have burned out

Not sure if it's the lamps, but if it is, they usually are several hundred dollars a piece. Is best to have a local repairman come out and test to see what component has failed.

There are 3 lamps, one per each of the primary colors of red, green, and blue

It might be a power module issue, best to have a repairman put a meter on it and find the exact problem.

Thinkpad T41 with XP-sp3: No sound / working fine until yesterday

Hi. Try plugging in an external speaker just to test the issue. It could be just the speaker of the laptop is having the problem. If you were able to hear the sound from the external speaker then the problem is the built in speaker of the computer. If there is no sound coming out to external speakers. Try to reinstall the driver of your soundcard.

My Vizio LCD TV screen fades to dark. Sound stays on.

I w having this same issue when watching a Blu-Ray disc. I found it to be dependent upon what picture mode the TV was set to. By this I mean certain picture modes would cause the TV to dim during dark scenes of a movie. Changing the picture mode helped a lot.

The picture will go black and the sound will go out. At the same time, the green power inicator will flash. Then the picture and sound will come back on for several seconds and then it will go out again....

My TV had the same problem. I called Sony yesterday and they told me to reset the TV. I did so yesterday, and it seemed to work. Here is the transcript with instructions:
Please turn ON the TV. While holding down the RESET button on the Remote control, press the POWER button on the TV. The TV will turn itself OFF, then back ON again. Release the RESET button. The TV will go thru the initial setup, and should work normal.

Samsung HCL4715W will not power on

At five years old, I doubt it will be worth replacing the power supply , a picture tube or two and possible the signal board. Cut your loses and get a new set.
