TV Guide reset

I read the previous posting about the TV Guide feature resetting itself. In my instance, I keep receiving the following message: "Updated information will be available within 24 hours. The Guide is rebuidling your channel list based on your setup change." The problem is that I haven't made any changes, and it never does reset and display properly. Any thoughts?

Try this (with the original remote): Reset TV Guide On Screen
1. Press the TV Guide button
2. Curser up and over to the SETUP menu
3. Select Change system settings (highlight only)
4. Enter the following numbers … 753159852 (setup mode)
5. Enter the following numbers … 653274147 (reset mode)

It will take some time to get the guide downloaded, but it works.

On y tv the light at the front keeps flashing red and green. what is the problem?

It may be in the safety shutdown/restart mode because it may have bad power or it detects shorted circuits. You can try unplugging it for about an hour to let it reset itself first, otherwise you will have to troubleshoot it if it does not reset.
Please read my guide first before DYI.

0521 code on dvr

Hello! Daniel Busa with Dish Network I saw your post and would like to apologize for the inconvenience. If you've gotten that error message it may be a sign your hard drive is down. If you reset the reciever by unplugging it and it keeps happening you will need a replacement.

Retrieve a message

Depending on what VM system you have there is a feature # you key in.

For instance the Nortel Callpilot feature is "feature, 981" If this is your first time logging in you will have to enter a password. Contact your systems administrator to reset or set your password to never ask.

Clicking noise sony bravia kdl-40v3000

Normal 0 My kdl-46v4100 has been off all day and I've heard two or three clicks. It sounds exactly like the click you hear when it’s been off all day and you go to turn it on. A few minuets after it clicked I turned it on and to my surprise there was NO click sound.
This LCD TV (like most large displays) uses an Active Matrix of thin film transistors, aka TFT. Essentially the screen is a large array of transistors and capacitors. According to my previous observations; I suspect the random clicks are associated with the LCD circuitry providing a fresh “standby charge” to the TFT array (hence no click on power on following a “refresh”).

Not a solution, but an explanation other than “cooling off…”

Mitsubishi CS-32509 TV

Unplug the TV for 4 hours or more. This is called a 'Hard Reset'. Then plug it back in, turn it on and let the TV do it's thing. It will set itself up. Just follow the TV setup prompts. Guide Plus is a feature on the TV. Much like a TV guide showing all channels, shows, description of shows, times, etc..
