Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P150 Digital Camera Logo

Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P150 Digital Camera

5 Answers

Cracked LCD screen (of course).

I purchased a Song DCS-P150 off of Amazon a few months sgo. Sitting in my purse for a few hours and what not, I take it out only to find a nice big crack in the 1.8? LCD screen. The camera still takes pictures, uploads, ect., its just the LCD screen broken. I was wondering if there was an alternative to going through Sony's repair $181.00 deal or buying a new one. Warranty is long expired. Maybe a parts camera with a similar screen I could use to replace it or anything, I really am stumped! HELP PLLEEAAASSEEEEE!

Hi everyone, I know many posts on blogs when i was looking to replace my casio lcd and every site i looked at for the replacement lcd was so high priced, and there was no way i would pay how much they wanted so i was going to buy a new camera. Then i found this guy on ebay and he had tons of lcds for sale but none for my camera and all of them were priced good and low. So i sent him a message and he told me to go to his site www.Buy202.com and i checked it out and he offers tons of lcd cheap one i bought from him only cost me $27 and i installed it myself it was tricky at 1st but you just have to be gentle i guess. anyhow anyone looking for lcds this guy is pretty cool ive got 2 from hims o far. www.Buy202.com

I would just say to buy a new camera because you wouldn't want to pay for a repair that costs more than the camera did!

Many photo stores [Here in the UK any way] sell LCD protectors. This is piece of what is essentially very heavy duty clear tape- that is cut to size to put over LCD's Of course it meant to protected screens in good order but I imagine it's use as a repair device is pretty good too.

I had my camera in my purse and when i took it out and turn it on. my camera turns on white screen but with a black liquid spot on it. is it fixable? please help my camera is brand new.

Your purse would have happened to be black and the camera on the outside pocket would it?

If so and it was in heat then the LCD screen has super heated, it might come back after a few hours to cool. There is operating temperature ranges listed in the manual extreme heat and cold will just kill most digital point and shoot type cameras, sometimes they come back sometimes not.

I would also take the battery out of it and let it sit for a few hours to cool DON'T put it in a cold place let it come up to room temperature gradually.

hi there,

first i would ask this, did you remove the battery while it was on your purse??
if you didn`t, i`m afraid the battery had caused the LCD power not worked properly
you`ll need a professional technical support to fix this

thanks

Olympus FE 3010 screen is cracked :(

If you bought it online, your credit card company would have a record of the purchase. Also, the company you bought it from should have a record of the purchase. Speak to their customer service representative. If you received e-mail confirmation of the purchase, you might still have it if you save e-mails.

Digital camera screen broken

A cracked screen will cost you, but maybe not as much as you think. Instead of replacing the whole , you can spend about $300 and replace the screen yourself. All you need is a small screwdriver.

1)Turn off the power to your screen and unplug all cables connected to it.
2)Remove the battery, if one is installed.
3)Locate the covered screws around the cracked screen. Remove the rubber/plastic covers, then unscrew the screws.
4)Gently remove the plastic frame around the cracked screen and set it aside.
5)Disconnect any power cords or cables going into the LCD screen.
6)Remove the cracked screen and slide the new screen into place. Replace any tape or plastic fasteners that hold it in place.
7)Reconnect all internal cords to the screen.
8)Screw in the frame and replace all the screw covers.
9)Reconnect the power supply and all external cables to the LCD screen and switch it on.

Its not a camera its a electronic dictionary

The cracked LCD itself can not be fixed, however a replacement LCD is always an option.
They are fairly cheap, running around 40-50 dollars.
Here is a link to one on eBay -
