From your description I would lean towards a suspension issue, If it was an electrical issue, rearranging the load would not change the way it operates.

Loading issues

switch off the machine, remove paper and spindle of both roll & 2, close the roll covers, switch on the machine wait until ready mode appears, select load media, select roll 1. Its not an issue with the monitor, it can be a software issue or the computer's issue. You can also try updating or reinstalling the graphics card driver. As per your question i feel that apart from your management software the monitor is working good with other softwares, so its not a monitor issue.
