There are a few things thatcan cause you to lose wireless connection with your wireless router.1. Weak signal strength, check the signal strength on your wireless card. If it is weak move thewireless router away from brick or concrete walls and if possible locatethe wireless router higher up.2. Have you secured yourwireless router from people near your from unauthorized access? i.e. change thedefault password, setup encryption use WPA2 or WPA, change the default SSID,and turn off SSID broadcast, and for added protection, enable MAC addressfiltering which allows only the MAC address/es of your wireless card/s toconnect to your wireless router.3. You could be gettinginterference from electrical sources such as air conditioners, arc welders, washing machines etc. If so, the power supply to the wireless routers andcomputers etc should be connected to a surge protection power board, betterstill connect your computer equipment to an UPS (Uninterrupted PowerSupply). 4. Check the channels ofthe wireless routers and access points in your area and change the broadcastchannel on your wireless router to an unused channel or one that is currentlyused but has the weakest signal strength. This will minimize interferencewith your wireless router from other wireless routers and accesspoints in your area.

Wag160n dropping internet connection(on wired and wireless connection

This might be an issue with the router it self or the service it's getting from your ISP. If it drops the connect frequently, you can have a computer wired straight to the modem and see is the same issue will be encountered.

If connection through the modem is fine, you might want to upgrade the firmware of the router. You can contact Linksys to help you do this.

Internet extremely slow on one network, fine on the other

Not knowing if this relates directly as i am not from Australia but have you checked with the ISP.

The phone line providing the internet access may be damaged in some way or require calibration to reduce line noise (which can cause slow speeds).

Alternatively, have you got a usage limit that you may have reached. ISPs have the ability to throttle back your connection speed.

Thanks

Netgear dg834gt connected to isp but not no internet

Via Wi-fi or Ethernet? Eithewr way, you must run the network wizard for either the cable (Ethernet) connection or the wireless connection wizard. Check your local area connection status window (Right click the computer icon on the lower right hand corner of your screen -usually-). If you are connected but, can not log in and, you are absolutely sure your modem is connected properly to both ISP and your Computer, try calling a tech from your ISP. Be very nice and maybe they will guide you through the process. If , on the other hand, you want to be absolutely sure it is a router issue. Connect directly to your modem and see it you can surf.

I have a wireless Blkin G plus router and hughsnet and 4 computers that all need to go online at the same time but the spead in not good at all do i need to reconfigur my blkin router

The speed in your internet connection is not a router issue. It is an "internet connection issue" with your ISP. Please contact your ISP and subscribe to a higher internet speed from your ISP.

My internet keeps dro, i have installed filters ,

There is one case where everything is fine but still connection drops too often.---
This happens when the network type of your laptop is "public" as ublic networks are less secure, routers usually drop connections after sme time. Change the network type to "private". This should solve your problem. There is one more setting in your router where is says something like "automatically login when disconnected". Selecting this option allows automatically login to ISP when connection is dropped from ISP temporarily.

If network connectivity itself is the problem then you can debug followingly.

Step-1:
If ISP company says everything is fine from their side, then you need to check your router. To confirm this first connect the wall outlet of ISP to your laptop and check network connectivity. If there is problem, then ISP has to fix it.

Step-2:
If connection works fine then ISP is fine and you need to check your router settings. Now check network connectivity by connecting the laptop to the router through a ethernet wire. If the network does not work then your router hardware could be wrong and may need servicing or replacement. If this works fine then go to step-3.

Step-3:
Try resetting your router by using a paperclip. Usually the reset button can be found at the backside of your router. This will reset all the settings and there by making as good as a fresh one. Try to access internet from a place close to router where router signal is strong.
Change authentication and other network settings of your router to connect to ISP. Now network should work fine. Ensure that you set router password to avoid unauthorized access to your router by others.

I have an ADSL D-Link modem (DSL-300G)that works fine. I hooked a D Link wired router, EBR-2310 and can't get to the internet. It use to work until one day recently the kid moved wires arround because no...

First: Connect your computer directly to the ADSL modem. It has an Ethernet port.
If you can't get to the Internet while your computer is connected directly to the modem, then ytour router never will either. Call ISP if you can't connect to the Internet when directly conencted to the modem.
Next: Check your router wires again, The modem must be connected to the "special" port on the router. Look at the router. There is one port separated from the rest. Connect the modem to that port. Conenct to the Internet.
Still no Internet?
Reset your router by pushing a stylus (straightened-out paperclip) into the reset "hole" on the router (with router powered ON).
Push & hold for 30 seconds or until the lights do their reset dance. Connect to the INternet.
