The START pad begins any oven function. if the START pad is not pressed within 5 seconds after pressing a function pad, the Push to Start ["PSH"] indicator light will flash and the push to start tone will sound as a reminder. you can download a manual for your range at go to "owner center", scroll down to "manuals & literature" and enter your model number

is it a Whirlpool, i think the time needs to be set on those before they work. Its a longshot but try setting the time and turning off the cook timer.
