Loss of picture and sound repeatedly

The picture and sound suddenly has a lot of interference and then goes off. It acts as if there is a loose connection. We can get the picture and sound back temporarily by jiggling the cable in the back of the TV. Replaced the cable but did no good. Thank you.

You already hit the nail in the head, the problem might be the actual conector loose inside the set or the tuner has loose conections to the main board, the shell of the tuner is the ground make sure the conections are solid,if you are familiar with tv service this will help but if you are not too familiar be safe and call for help, right now it should not be expensive.

The conector can not be loose in any way, sometimes is part of the tuner and sometimes is conected to an isolator and then to the tuner,if it is part of the tuner it solders right to the tuner and the solder has broken inside too.Satay in touch if you need more help.
