Question about Philips GoGear HDD6330 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Sound capabilities My player was playing music very well, but i dropped it on the pavement (i tripped and fell - I'm not that irresponsible). Now it still plays, however when I try to listen to music, I only hear the instrumentals or background voices, but I can't hear (or very distantly hear) the main soloist. Is it permanently ruined? or is there something I can do to fix it? I tried adding some new songs after the incident, but they, too, play only the background music with very distant vocals. When I slightly pull out my headphones so they have only light contact, then it plays more normally. When I push them in all the way, then the voices disappear to leave very clear instrumentals. Thanks for the help!!

The symptoms you describe are caused by a break in the earphone socket ground connection.

If you are confident enough, dismantle the player and re-solder the 4 connections to the earphone socket.

You could try to clean the laser, with a special cleaning disk. Don't try to clean a laser by opening the player, you will damage the system.
If it is a CD burned in a PC, it also can be the laser is now a bit less, not capable reading CD-R or CD-RW, and still can read normal CD's

Does the home music system have the capability to play MP3? If it does not then its simply reading a "silent audio file", therefore you will get no sound from it. To me it does not seem to have the MP3 capability.

Dropped My Chromatic!

Sounds like you damaged the backlight. A LCD replacement will fix that.

Highschool mucial mp3 won't download music from my computer

The nameless mp3 player that you have is probably not capable of playing DRM-protected songs. Double-check the songs that you have downloaded from Limewire, and see if the 3 songs that you ARE able to play are in mp3 format. If so, only transfer songs in mp3 format to the player. DRM-encrypted WMA's and iTunes (AAC) songs will not work.

File error

What's the music format of the songs that you placed on your mp3 player? Some MP3 Players only capable of playing song files with .mp3 extension and are incapable of playing other music format like wav, wma, etc. Check also the contents of the player for corrupted files and foreign files. Some viruses from a computer could affect the performance of your mp3 player.

Music will not play on my sansa shaker

Did you copy your own CD's to the computer? The default settings for Windows Media Player "RIP Music" are to rip as WMA format. The music needs to be in mp3 format. Change your settings in Windows Media Player. Tools>Options>RIP Settings. Select mp3, under the drop down menu. Best of Luck.
