I think you need a new camera. Even when you think you could fix the shutter, there can and will be more damage to the camera. Today, a single repair could cost more hen a brand new camera with better specs then the one you would like to have repaired.
There is an option in the menu to put camera on continuous auto focus. You must have the camera on manual setting to have this option available, but once selected, it should stay on in auto setting. It will wear the battery faster, but it should solve the issue you are having. Hope this helps!!!
[source]Question about Samsung Digimax S500 Digital Camera[/source]
Try replacing batteries (high Ah photographic type).
The lens motor & electronics may be draining power if Ah capacity has dropped too low. At night, it could be that your flash is trying to fire (another drain), or shutter timer / mirror staying open longer.
When I turn my camera on my starting screen will appear and it will stay on for only 30 seconds and then turn itself back off. The shutter does not move. I think it is jammed. I dropped my purse and the camera was inside of it. I think it may have been the cause of my problems. Im not sure what the correct term is but the part of the camera that sticks out in the front to help focus and get close does not move either. It is slightly out like is is jammed as well... please help I love this camera!
There is like a metal cradle inside the camera in the roof that flips down. The Focusing screen is to be placed in the roof of the camera with the small tab facing OUT of the camera. The Cradle then lifts upwards and clicks in.
do not touch the main part of the focusing screen. Try only to touch the tab
hi
it depends on where it broke and if...(the button)
if it just fell
then u can just take the new button a shove it in untill theres a CLICK
if its broke
then u will need to pull out the rest and then shove it in
DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THE CAMREA IF U DONT KNOW HOW!!
you will brake the pins inside when u will
and then it will cost u as a new cam
good luck
