Question about Frigidaire GLGH1642DS Front Load Stacked Washer / Dryer
My friend is having a problem with her front loading stackable full-size washing machine. It is only 1 1/2 years old and should still be under warranty but the dealer said it wasn't. The washer will fill only 1/4 of the way, then immediately start draining. No agitating or anything. I feel that there should be a simple solution. Can you help? Thanks in advance! Jane
Jane, check to make sure that the drain hose has a air gap in the drain. Sometimes you will get a siphoning effect if you don't have the gap or it is pushed down to far in the drain. If this is not your problem, it's probably a timer issue...Catriver..post back

I appreciate your inquiry, friend!
Based off what you have described you would like to bypass the lid switch on your Frigidaire washer. It is not recommended to bypass this part. Doing so could lead to a fault within your washer. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
Good afternoon friend, that's a great question!
I understand that you are trying to replace the selector knob on your Frigidaire washer, GLTF2940E. Normally this is not a DIY job and we would recommend having a technician come out to the home in order to properly disassemble your front panel and replace the selector knob as needed. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

My Frigidaire Stackable Front Loader Washer also only fil water to less than 1/4 level and started spinning. It's like washing the clothes without enough water. The clothes are just wet for spinning around inside the washer. For the rinse cysle, it's the same effect.
