When I try to start it in the morning all it does is crank and crank. I've tried lots of things from the dirtubtor to the relay switch and all over. It still won't start for nothing even though it was running grat a few days ago.
If you have spark and fuel, the next stop would be either the crank position or camshaft position sensors.Either one of those can stop the engine from firing.
Your system has either a cold-start valve or relay and either that or the temperature sensor that controls these is bad.
If the engine starts well once warm, this is probably the area causing the problem.
Not familiar with your particular vehicle but you can probably find a tip on one of the forums dealing with Toyota or the 4Runner.

I RAN INTO A PROMBLEM MUCH LIKE THIS ONE ON A 98 S10 PU I OWNED. WHEN I DID A FUEL PRESSURE TEST IT WAS WITHIN SPECS BUT I DIDN'T DO A FUEL VOLUME TEST. WHEN YOU FIRST HIT THE KEY THE FUEL PUMP KICKS ON AND GAVE ME PROPER FUEL PRESSURE BUT WHEN I PULLED THE LINE AND HIT THE KEY IT BARELY SPIT OUT A 1/4 CUP OF GAS. I TRACED THE PROBLEM BACK TO BEING AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE POWER SUPPLY TO THE PUMP.
OH AND BY THE WAY I AM FACING THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM ON OUR 96 TACOMA DELIVERY TRUCK. I'M GOING TO BE DOING THIS TEST HERE SHORTLY AND I WILL LET YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT I FIND OUT.

I tried the crankshaft sensor and that's all good. When I try to start it in the morning the motor is turning and the ignition sounds fine. I've tried to push start and it won't even get it going. But if I wait until it warms up in the afternoon it will fire up with persistent cranking, but it sounds like it really dosnt want to. After its all warmed up it runs great. .
