I have a dynex 32 inch w/ dvd & the red power button is on, but when I go to turn the tv on the blue (on) light comes on as normal but then no picture comes up on the screen. then the indicator light is completly blank & the red power light comes back on.

SOURCE: power button is green - no blinks / no picture / no sound

Unplug it from the wall, wait 2 minutes and plug it back in. if problem still exists, its probably the main pcb.

I had this same problem with the 19" model as well. I had to reinstall video driver with the tv hooked up in order for the resolutions to work properly. In order to do this I used an S-video cable which worked well enough to reinstall the video driver. I did not try safe mode which might have been easier, I just did not think of it at the time. With the video driver reinstalled while the TV is attached to my computer, I know enjoy a crisp 1440x900 screen resolution. Hope this helps.

Check the power supply module first for blown fuse, bad capacitors, etc.

SOURCE: Dynex TV will not turn on, red light on as usual.

The standby 5vdc is working but not the rest.
