T-60 will not seat properly in 2504 docking station.

T-60 will not seat properly in docking station.
I have one of the smaller type 2504 docking stations for my T60. I've been using it just fine for 3+ years. All of a sudden my thinkpad would not seat properly yesterday morning. I've fiddled around a bit with it, not wanting to jam or tweak it or the computer... and just simply cannot get it to seat. Any ideas out there?

I have the same docking station and I am typing this on my T60 right now. I have noticed that sometimes it is very hard to dock my laptop and other times it just slides on instantly. This seems to be an issue with poor design. If you look a the dock connector under you laptop you will notice there is a strip of plastic in the middle of two rows of connectors. The docking station connector must be perfectly aligned to successfully connect. I would inspect it for any damages, but honestly I think it is just an issue of patients, precision and a little bit of luck. If you can not identify any damage I would just slowly try to line it up and keep trying until it clicks. Remember to never force it and once it lines up it will slide in with very little force.

The green clean light stays on all the time it is on the docking station

It's possible that the green clean light staying on all the time when the device is on the docking station is normal behavior. Many electronic devices have indicator lights that remain on when they are charging or in a standby mode. However, if you suspect that there may be an issue with your device, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try: Make sure the device is properly seated on the docking station. Check to see if the contacts on the device and docking station are clean and free of debris. Try unplugging the docking station from the power outlet, waiting a few moments, and then plugging it back in. This can sometimes reset the device. Check the user manual for your device to see if there is any information about the green light staying on. Some devices may have a setting that allows you to turn off the indicator lights If none of these steps solve the issue, contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or recommend a repair or replacement if necessary.

How to install USB3.0 eSATA 2.5"/3.5" horizonatal mobile HDD Docking station?

Hi

Once you have the drive installed in the docking station you will need to install the drivers on the host PC, if your drive is not showing up in my computer, then either the drive is faulty, the docking station is faulty or the drivers have not installed correctly.

1 listen to the drive can you hear clicking noises from the drive, or is there any activity at all from the drive if not then the drive is either not sat in the holder correctly so is not getting power. or if it seated ok then the drive has gone faulty.

2. If the Docking Station is faulty return it and get it replaced

3 Remove and reinstall the drivers.

How to keep my oreck xl bag docking station attached. bought

Put smaller part of bag docking system on first. Seperate it from the other. It has to be pushed on past plastic lip around hole. It should feel very tight. Then attach larger part of bag dock onto the smaller one.

No audio from docking station PA3314U-1PRP. Laptop itself (Tecra M5) outputs audio normally. All other outputs from the docking station work normally. How do I get audio to work through the docking...

Hi there,
you should try plugging from the output port of the laptop to the input port of the docking station, remember the source is coming from your laptop going to the docking station.
Now for the microphone once you have the settings right the line in jack should work properly.
Hope this helps!

Dell latitude D410 wont boot up when hooked to docking station can not use keyboard or mouse

Sounds like a compatibility issue between your Dell and the Docking station. I would say make sure the software for your docking station is installed properly, and update the software before connecting again.

Docking station

I had the same problem. I did need to take the clear plastic insert off but then I had to put a rubber band around the dock and camera (more on the left of the camera and dock) to hold it evenly on there since the camera was leaning on the right and wasn't charging for me. Now it charges as soon as I put it on there with the rubber band with no blinking red light anymore! Hope this helps!

T40 TP will not boot in dock

sounds like your docking station may have some junk in the seating connector. Take a look, and perhaps you'll need to swab those connections with a tight, long style swab, with denatured alcohol.
