Speakers cut out after about 10 minutes.

I have the Technics SCEH790. After about 10 minutes the speakers cut out. If I then switch it off for a few minutes, then back on again it'll work for a few more minutes and then cuts off again. I have tried a new cooling fan, but it makes no diference. Any ideas? Please help.

Does the system perform normally- as long as it works? If yes, then the Amplifier is at fault. It cannot be the output Transistors or IC, as the sound is coming from both channels. If you know solid state servicing, I advice replacing all the electrolytic capacitors in the Output stages of the Amplifier. Over a period of time these El Caps dry out, and cause headaches.

Even tho you have replaced the fan it will not cool the system down in time if it is your amp that has gone. This heats up so quick if there is something wrong with it and it will just stop the power from going to your speakers. Take it to a shop and get it looked at. Good luck.
