While useing my crock pot the black handle on the lid fell off all i need is to find out how to get another one. I received this as a xmas gift last year and i realy like it. Please help me with this.

lid handle broke and cannot find a replacement
I need a replacement lid for an 8 qt. Cook's Essentials pot, or the "handle" piece if I can just get that piece.
I dropped the lid and shattered it. Contacted Rival and crockpot.com and they say they do not have ANY oval replacement lids, saying my model was old (I got it as a wedding gift 3 years ago - crockpots should last for years!) They offered to give me 25% off a new crockpot, but that seems so wasteful to toss out a perfectly good crockpot because they don't manufacture any replacement parts. They do sell a round glass lid for some models, but that's it. I am still searching the internet! f anyone has an suggestions, I am listening!
I also have the Smart Pot Crock pot by Rival and the black handle on the lid just popped off one day and I too have only had it 3 years. I am trying to find a replacment lid because I have only used it make 5 times
I can't believe that I they don't have replacement parts available for these crock pots! I will have to find a new crock pot, but rest assured that when I do, I will checking to make sure they have replacement part available before I make that purchase.
