Horizontal sync When I first turn the TV on it has no horizontal sync. As it warms up the picture becomes clearer. It never really comes in clear and seems to be getting worse. I can adjust convergence but it does not fix it. The HDTV inputs seem fine, no sync problem. Could this be the tuner board ?

Zeutaluras, My guess would be the same as yours because the horizontal osc. is synchronized when you apply the signal to the HD inputs. I am assuming the signal with embedded horizontal sync and composite video passes through the tuner boards as you mentioned. I'll confirm with the schematic once I see it. If it is a separate board can you get one to substitute? I think you may be able to locate the problem with an oscilloscope and schematic if you can access different points in the schematic. I'll try to help once I know more. My problem prevents any type of built in diagnostics since the set doesn't power up.
