My Kodak EasyShare DX7630 Digital camera screen reads "camera error # E21". The problem happened on August 26th as I was on my way to shoot a picture.I have tried troubleshooting by turning camera off and on, but no solution so far. Any suggestions?

On my LS 743 Kodak Camera, that error refers to a lens mechanism problem. I was able to fix it by removing my front cover which had be come dented inward and short circuited some wiring. Re-shaping the cover fixed the problem. This will probably void your warranty...

Having had it for half a year - how come no warranty?
If you acquired it through regular means and still have purchase documentation then back to the retailer it goes.
The problems you mention are definite - firm ware errors and seller/manufacturer responsibility.
Suggest you also contact Support on Kodak website to discuss the problem - you do no have to discuss source if that is an embarrassment.
I've got the same problem.
