HTC Touch Pro - During phone calls (telstra network the phone will completely tun of and carry out a reset. This doesn't happen on all phones though. Any help on this would help otherwise I'll be going back to my old phone.

Reset your phone then try again, if still not working unlock your phone network using htc touch pro2 unlock code. This code can you get from your network provider or you can buy from online htc unlock code retailer.

Call your carrier and Get insurance on the phone if you haven't already and then the insurance should cover it. They will insure the phone as long as it's working and turned on.

Then, a few days/weeks down the road, if it get's worse or completely stops working, you will be able to get it replaced. At this point, you may even get a Touch Pro in exchange for it when you do the insurance swap. They do charge $50-$100 deductable usually, but that's better than purchasing an entirely new phone when that one is no longer usable.

By the way, I have two HTC Touch Pro and they both have issues. I think they are still trying to perfect these phones, but are far from it. That happen to me with my 1st phone. Reset the phone from the little reset button and if that doesnt work then take it to your companys store and they should replace it for free because that means the phone is defected, as I call it.

I think I have found out the way to solve this problem! I think! Ok on my phone I changed the power settings. Go to settings>all settings(if on touch flo)>system tab>power>advanced tab> then uncheck the two boxes that says "turn off device if not used for". Hopefully this works because I don't want to trade in my htc for another phone. Try it out and let me know if this works for you or not.

it's right, during a phone call in HTC HD, the screen may shut down but you can easely turt it on again by presseing the on/ off botton once.

for touch pro, am not sure but it seems to be the version came after HTC HD, so all the problems in HTC HD should be solven in Touch pro.

try resetting the device

hard rest factory default settings = when ur set is switched off press both buttons call and end key and then press power button on upside of pda for like 5 sec screen will appear asking to format all data take out ur card if u dont want to format that now confirm by pressing the centre action button in 4 side joystick and go

otherwise go and update ur pda software with latest at www.htc.com i mean ROM and see if it helps

it may be a local service provider network problem...call ur service provider and rectify ur fault...

The Malaysian version does not support 850mhz which is what the telstra NextG network runs on.

could you explain in detail what s happening with your phone??

u said that ur phone cannot be unlocked...but then u say that it happens typically during nights...do u mind elaborating?
