    what brand tv is it?have you tried having the source powered on and working and then go into tv menu and selecting that input some tv's will not recognize source if tv is power on 12st

The set is indicated and seems to be a Sanyo DS27820 and the other expert has a valid idea---have it connected and turn it on and then go to the Menu and SELECT or HIGHLIGHT that input in order for it to see the input.

I would also suggest trying it on more than one if the first does not work.

there are two ways: 1.- to buy an universal remote control (this is more easy) or 2.- replace the power microswitch and rebuilt the button.

maybe your connection is wrong,look at back of your dvd player and find the yellow socket and that's a video the red and white is for the sound. using the color coding connect your dvd to tv, be sure that the terminal that you use is audio/video input

Replacement remote control

Video mode
I just bought this same TV at a yard sale today. There was no remote and it had the same problem. I used autoprogrtam feature of my cable remote to use the TV part of the that remote. With that remote I was then able to change video inputs and access all the menus properly. Good luck, Dan
