You're out of luck on this one that is why they put the security feature on there. You'll either have to take a chance with another password and lose your info or format the drive and lose the info anyway. Sorry couldn't be much help.

Buy one just like the one you have put some stuff on it make a 123456 or something easy for a password. this will give you an unlimited number of times to try and gain access. If you mess up format and try again. Tey different recovery solutions

I would use the access capability and take what you need off the drive. Using your disk utility application, reformat the drive and attempt to transfer.
