I've only had this unit for 7 months but just recently it started shutting off after 3-5 minutes of it being turned on.
I'm thinking it might be overheating but heck what do I know.
Is this fixable by me?
Thanks.
This unit is not repairable. I had the same problem with my unit. I had a certified LG repair shop look at the unit. Just to evaluate the unit was $85.00 after testing the unit they discovered parts and labor is much more than the original cost of the unit. I am furious. You can't used the speakers with any other unit. I will buy a DVD player seperate from the tuner in the future. DVD players are much cheaper and are easy to replace, but when you purchase an all in one you are trapped with an unrepairable unit. I will never buy LG again.

The unit could be overheating and shutting down, cooling off, and restarting. Check ventilation holes on back for dust accumulation and blockage. Check that cooling fan is turning properly.

I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model# FAQE7001LW, is not heating as well as only running about 5-7 minutes of the cycle before shutting off. There are a couple things to check.
1)The gas supply valve is not open. Check to make sure that the gas valve is open.
2)The dryer does not have enough air supply to support the burner flame. Check with your local gas company to make sure that your dryer is installed correctly.
3)There is a possibility that your LP gas supply tank is empty or there has been a utility interruption of natural gas. Try refilling or replacing the tank.
If you are still having trouble with your dryer, I suggest giving it a hard reset, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, start any cycle. If you are still noticing that there is no heat and it stops 5-7 minutes into the cycle, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.
Sounds like a fuel sensor either fuel pressure tank pressure or a bad fuel pump either way it seems your fuel pump is shutting down. It could also be related to the security system scan the vehicle for sensor codes or security faults also if the ignition key is worn it could cause the computer to read it as a bump key and activate the anti theft system
OK, need to know a few things before providing an answer on this one
1) Has the screen flickered in the recent past? 2) Has this ever occurred before? 3) Have you heard any noise coming from the monitor? 4) Has the screen grown dim or brighter lately
Appears that you have a bad cap in the power supply that is changing value as it heats up. Hard to find - only thing you can do is go to suspected units and replace them hoping that you got the bad one. Or just wait till it finally pops.
There could be several factors. Are there any indication or failure lights/codes prior to the unit shutting down? You didn't mention where the unit is located. Does it initially start to read the disc then shut down or is there no activity at all? Please respond with some additional info & we'll go from there.
