Logitech webcam cant take picture den i get a messages windows shut down program.

Open the Task Manager and locate the software that's associated
with the webcam, end the process.

Click on the chat client or website you are using the Logitech QuickCam on if you are not using the Logitech QuickCam utility. Turn the webcam's focusing ring on the front of the camera to the left or right slowly to focus the camera. You will see your image in the Logitech QuickCam preview window on your notebook's screen. Just cross check the cam with other pc,
If it is working ,then re-install or format the os partition or install driver on other partions and shut down after fully remove power also then start again ,

If it is not working send it to company for re-writing the program

Launch the Logitech toolbar from your desktop or from All Programs
The settings menu is the 2 gear wheel logo on the toolbar.
Start your cam first in the Quick Capture menu (2 film frames)
Make sure your USB is 2.0 (enhanced)
You may have to reinstall the latest software from here

1. Your Skype setup should have selector to let you use the camera indepenently but the Logitech camera utility will have to be disabled or the program exited.
Remove the Logitech camera from the " startup group in the start up window in the startup folder in the program files. this should stop the Logitech program from loading and give the Skype program access to the camera.

Sometimes webcam software can remain hooked up to a program even if we have exited that program correctly
I just re-boot my webcam software by unplugging it for a couple of seconds
( easy on a laptop but you can disable / enable the webcam from the imaging folder in your Device Manager )

You can try launching the Logitech toolbar and click on the Quick Capture menu ( 2 film frames ) If your webcam is in use elsewhere it will tell you what program otherwise your webcam should broadcast

Fianally the worst scenario is you have a software conflict with another program on your computer

if you took the pictures through the windows webcam and picture drivers then your pictures should be in your "my documents, my pictures folder", if you took the pics through a third party program, then those pics will be in whatever folder that software has listed for saving the pics in its preferences. Once you find them, double click on them if they are of a normal format and windows will display them. If they are in a unusual format ( like a logitech file format) then you may only be able to view them through logitechs own software. There are a number of free and very good software programs which will allow you to change one type of file into another type of file, go to : www.download.com and search for image manipulation software.

You will need to load one of the programs that came with the camera in order to see yourself on the camera. Logitech has a control program on the install disc that will allow you to activate the camera and see the picture. You may have to set the source for the video to the camera in the control panel. I ran into this problem because windows was looking at another digital camera I used for photographs.
