Cect I9 Phone

I just received a Cect I9 phone as a gift and I am trying to find out how to connect it to my computer. When I connect the USB cord it tells me that I need to install the MT6225 driver. As this seems to be a very illusive driver, is there a different route that I can take to connect my phone to my computer. I really need to be able to sync my calendar and email. Thanks.

    I cannot get connected to the computer. I have turned my phone off and tried. Turned it on and tried. I am so frustrated with this phone. I want a way to put my addresses on the phone. It is suppose to be a PDA and I can't make it work and the camera does not even focus. Ok, I'm frustrated and wasted my money. If anyone can help. Please do.

CECT i9 stopped communicating with PC

Is it the same computer you've always used? It could be the OS not recognizing your phone or a bad USB port, if it is the same computer, most likely it's your phone. Try doing a firmware update and see if that helps. You'll have to use a microSD adapter to save it to your card since the cable doesn't work.

I NEED HELP REPAIRING MY I9 SCREEN

There are basically two ways to do this. You can get online to the Java website via your WAP browser and enter in the code for the CECT installation ((wap.GetJar.com and then quick the download code 30827.) I usually download via USB though as this puts a copy onto my computer (in case it accidentally gets deleted) and it doesn?t cost any money or data to do this. For the Java installation, go to the get jar website. Make sure that you have the device set to CECT A100 (the CECT default.) Connect the phone to the computer via USB. Hit the mass storage icon on the phone. Click on the jar file that you want to download. Click save. Next, find the drive that your phone is listed under. (For me, this is K:/, but it may be something different in your case.) Click OK. Then, unhook the phone from the USB. Go into the document icon on the phone. Find the received file and then scroll down until you see the browser and click it. Then click ?install.? Now, you?ll go into Java icon. You?ll see the browser in the list of Java files. Then click launch. Opera should launch and you can start browsing. Most often, when something goes wrong here, it?s because the data, WAP or Java settings aren?t correct. You?ll need to go in and set them up depending upon your carrier. For example, if you use T Mobile, you?ll need to input the T Mobile WAP, port, and data settings. Typically, you set the data first, then the GPRS, the WAP, and the MMS. Finally, go into the JAVA settings and make sure that T Mobile (or AT&T, or which ever carrier that you are using) is reflected. There are many resources that will give you the Internet settings for almost every applicable carrier that you can think of. If for some reason you can?t get online, I?d check to make sure the phone isn?t set to the original Chinese or factory settings. My computer does not recognise my CECT i9 phone

Switch the phone on, then connect. You should have 3 options; Mass Storage, Webcam and PictBridge. Select Mass Storage. Depending on your system on your PC will connect immediately or maybe (older model) ask for driver. Driver for mass storage is 'generic' so will install automaticaly. After that go to 'my computer' and there will be 2 (!!!) new 'drives', the first one the external card on your phone, the second one the internal drive of your phone.

My computer does not recognise my CECT i9 phone

Your computer "should" reconize this phone without any drivers. when you attach the usb cable it should come up on your phone a list of options mass storage, web cam etc. on your phone is where you would choose mass storage option. As for the Chinese see if this will help you.
This is a common issue which you should be able to correct by using one or more of the following methods;
1.) Change the E-Book reader option from the Main menu => Tools => E-Book reader => Options => Global settings => Encoding, change to "UCS2 (Unicode)"
2.) Globally set the phone to English by opening up the dialing pad and entering *#0044# and then press the call button.

here is an excellent sight for I9

Free games for i9 phones

The CECT i9 and i68+ have JAVA. Unfortunately, most of the free JAVA games out there, are designed for keypad input. You will have to look for specifically "touch screen" apps and games. And among those, not all of them will work. I am afraid it's going to be "trial and error" for a while.

As for HOW to load the JAVA apps and games on your CECT i9, here's how:

On your computer, with the i9 plugged in with the USB cable, drag the JAR or JAD files into the "RECEIVED" folder. After you're finished with everything you want to add, disconnect the i9. Touch your DOCUMENTS button, then "memory card," then "received," you will see your JAR/JAD files listed. Touch the file you want to install. The next screen, choose INSTALL. It will bring you back to the menu choices of "phone" or "memory card." Choose PHONE and select YES. It should give you a message when it has successfully installed. Then exit out to the main screen, touch the JAVA button. Select "Installed Java Software" and you should be able to use your newly installed JAVA apps and games.

Hope that helps.
