Have had this iRiver for a while, working perfectly, use mostly for recording rehearsals and then downloading the sound files to computer.
I use it with a macBook and had a friend help do initial install with a PC.
I recently moved the voice files I'd recorded to my computer and deleted them form the iRiver, so the folder is empty - should have all it's memory available. But now when I try to record, I get a message saying RECORD ERROR MEMORY NOT ENOUGH.
Help! I didn't do anything odd to bring this about that I can tell.

Try making a new folder, under the same name as the ones lost, or missing. Since the X20 is flash memory based, you may have had some of your data go randomly corrupt. You MAY have to start things over. Sorry! Good Luck!
SOURCE: My iriver T30 says it's on 'hold' when the hold botton is off
I would reset the player first. As long as you are absolutely sure that the hold button is not engaged, then resetting the player ought to make the hold message disappear. If the reset fails, plug the iRiver into the computer to see if the computer will recognize the player. If it does, then go ahead and update the firmware on the player from iRiver's website - it will have the side effect of fixing your issue.

SOURCE: I have an Iriver T30 and I have lost my manual?
Hello,
A manual for the T30 can be acquired going to next link:
http://www.iriverinc.com/lounge/loungeList.asp
In the bar "select a product" select your player and click GO on the right side. All support for this player will be viewed.
T30 English manual link will show up in the list. On the next page you can download the zip file for either iRiver Plus2 or Windows Media Player.
Not sure if the T30 will work with Windows 7.
It depends on the firmware you have in the player.
Normally Windows Media Player should detect the T30 in MTP mode.
When having firmware that only detects the player in MSC mode, seeing the player as a removable disk: there are MSC drivers available under software&driver ( T30umd.inf ), not sure if they'll work on Windows 7.
