Xbox/TV cannot get xbox 360 hooked up to an Onn 15" lcd tv, the scart from the xbox is too big for the back of the tv....the scart wires colours red and white are shown but the problem lies in where to put the yellow one, can you help?
Try using a scart switch, therefore you only have to use a basic scart lead from the TV to the switch. then plug your xbox scart into the switch and it should work

If you are using the Red/Yellow/White cable, that's composite cable, but if you're using the one that's Red/Yellow/White/Blue/Green, that's called component. So basically, you set your TV's input to the corresponding color match. 5 colors: Component, 3 colors: Composite.
take everything out your new xbox 360 packaging. there should be:
1)a console (obvioiusly)
2) a cable that connects your 360 to a power block
3) a power block that connects your xbox to the wall
4) a cable that connects your xbox to the tv
5) a small rectangular box that connects your cable into the scart port on your tv.
lets begin
take the cable and connect it to the power block and move the power block to the side
take the scart plug (small rectangular box) and connect the yellow white and red wires into the approprite slots (these are marked out on your scart plug) and move to the side pace your console down 90 deg. on its side in your desired position. WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WA
do NOT place your xbox 360 standing up as this can cause red ring of death syndrome and other known xbox killers due to overheating i am on my second 360 as i never followed my own advise.if you keep your console standing straight it can cause vibrations which knock your cooling sinc out of place. it can also scratch your games more easily and ring them making them UNPLAYABLE. now place all cables you set aside and connect them into appropriate slots on the back of the console. and connect them into wall socket and tv.
thanks for reading.now wheres the free cake i was promised.
on the xbox i think the hd works with all 6 cables connected so you will need to switch it back to standard definition. if its still not working try it via scart m8
i will suggest if you new tv has more inputs, just try a different imput, and make sure the plugs are in all the way. this is a new tv so it will be tight.
same with the video connection on the back of xbox well plugged and straigt.
hope this woks. and remember to rate me if i helped you
This lead is usually coloured yellow and looks like the red and white leads you use to connect the tv speaker OUT sockets to an amplifier or external speakers. The input on the tv should be coded yellow also.
1) Connect the red, white & yellow audio leads in to the 360 scart adapter and then plug this in to the scart socket on the tv
2) change the xbox 360 selector at the back of the console from HD to TV
2) Select the input of scart on the tv
