Replaced all four toners with genuine parts and getting invalid toner message. Printer purchased in the Middle East and toners purchased in the UK
Well, eventually I worked it out: The "contacts" are four square fields to the left on on the backside of the cartridge. And it works instantly. (I read somewhere that it needs to be fully transparent tape. The 'blurry' tape leads electricity and doesn't work.)
On some of those printers You can place a piece of transparent tape over the contact on the pribter cartridge. This sometime works.. Good luck..
Steve.....it worked
Great.. I'm glad it worked..
I am sorry but English isn't my native ******, so I need to get clarified this answer. (I hope someone can help me - fast! Thanx.)
Is Steve talking about the TONER CARTRIDGE or something else?
Where exactly is this contact located and how does it look?
Thank you very much
Steen
On both sides of the toner cartridge are contacts.. Cover both with transparent tape. I hope this will help..
I really feel stupid here! I don't seem to be able to establish what 'contact' means and how it looks. Could anyone please explain to me where the contacts are located?:
1. On the ends of the cartridge?
If yes: Are they small round holes with a screw inside? Or what is it?
2. Front and rear? No that doesn't really make sense, does it?
3. Top and bottom? Then where and what might it be?
I am utterly confused. Thanx in advance for your help.
