Is there a scanner at this mashen
SOURCE: problem in scanner when scan
Try adding the scanner's IP address in the scnhosts file in the TWAIN folder. Format is similar to the windows hosts file. You'll see a commented out sample entry, just modify that to suit your needs.
This may or may not work for you; we had it working under this configuration but then it stopped for no apparent reason. also note that scanrouter isn't supported under vista. Only advice I've been given so far is to revert to sending scans via SMTP - not ideal!

SOURCE: ERROR CODE SC997 COMING UP
SC997 is an application error that seems to like to show itself on occasion, it's not considered serious. It tends to show up when scanning, and it basically means the copier couldn't do what you just asked it too. A hard power cycle clears it and in many cases it doesn't come back. I would ask your tech the next time he's out to update the firmware. The problem with that though is that your particular model uses the older flash cards to flash firmware and most techs don't have them or know how to use them.

if you have user manual read it
do you have driver cd?
In most cases you will find that the Windows drivers found here are
"self-extracting" (.exe) archives. Click the desired file. When
prompted, we recommend setting the destination to your desktop. Create
a new folder and move the archive into it. Click the file, it will then
extract the software and related files inside of your new folder
automatically. Alternately you may extract or move these files to a
floppy disk. Please note that these files will only self-extract if
executed from Windows.
After extracting the files to a disk or a special directory, you
should look for the installation program which is usually called
"setup.exe" or "install.exe", click it to begin installation. If
neither of these files are present, you should look for a text file
containing special instructions called "Readme.txt" or something
similar.
Sometimes there is no installation program because you must install
your driver via the Windows "Add Printer" function. Instructions for
installing printers can be found in the Windows help file.
Our Macintosh Archives are also self-extracting archives. These
files should be downloaded and then executed. The installer will be
present on the desktop when done. Click the installer and follow the
instructions to install.
