My GE Profile stopped running last night. The compressors and fans are not working, but the interior lights do. All exterior indicator lights are flickering on and off, and temperature control display and buttons not working. I suspect the motherboard may be bad, but I was hoping someone else had experienced this problem, and that it may be something simple like a tripped circuit breaker, or faulty relay. Any ideas?
Just to be sure... check your owners manual to see if this unit has a "showroom switch". It's a little switch that turns off the compressor, etc. but lets everything else light up so the sales persono on the showroom floor can show it off. Some customers have hit the switch to "on" during cleaning by accident.
I unpluged it, took the lower panel off and vacumed out the lower right drum real good, then pluged it back in, kinda like a reset mechanism, good luck
Electronic touch control does not always work. Sometimes when the doors are open the settings are displayed. Mostly nothing is displayed.
Yes, I have the same problem with GE profiler model PSC23SHRSS. " The compressors and fans are not working, but the interior lights do. All exterior indicator lights are flickering on and off, and temperature control display and buttons not working. "

I have the same problem with my GE Profile Artica side-by-side. The interior lights work but no compressor, no water or ice, nothing. Where is this showroom switch located? The owner's manual referred to the showroom setting but does not say where to find it. I looked all over and don't see a swithc for it.
I have the exact same problem as mentioned above. Any solutions?
The problem was the Main Control board located in the lower right hand corner in the rear of the unit. Cost was about $90 to repair myself...
