GE Profile does not run.

My GE Profile stopped running last night. The compressors and fans are not working, but the interior lights do. All exterior indicator lights are flickering on and off, and temperature control display and buttons not working. I suspect the motherboard may be bad, but I was hoping someone else had experienced this problem, and that it may be something simple like a tripped circuit breaker, or faulty relay. Any ideas?

I have the same problem with my GE Profile Artica side-by-side. The interior lights work but no compressor, no water or ice, nothing. Where is this showroom switch located? The owner's manual referred to the showroom setting but does not say where to find it. I looked all over and don't see a swithc for it.

I have the exact same problem as mentioned above. Any solutions?

The problem was the Main Control board located in the lower right hand corner in the rear of the unit. Cost was about $90 to repair myself...

Just to be sure... check your owners manual to see if this unit has a "showroom switch". It's a little switch that turns off the compressor, etc. but lets everything else light up so the sales persono on the showroom floor can show it off. Some customers have hit the switch to "on" during cleaning by accident.

Electronic touch control does not always work. Sometimes when the doors are open the settings are displayed. Mostly nothing is displayed.

Yes, I have the same problem with GE profiler model PSC23SHRSS. " The compressors and fans are not working, but the interior lights do. All exterior indicator lights are flickering on and off, and temperature control display and buttons not working. "

Have GE Profile refrigerator Quit Working

. Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start.
Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay.
Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

GE Model GSS25TGNB CC died

If you do not see frost on the inside rear wall of the freezer , Poll the refrig out from the wall , and remove the back panel covering the compressor . If the compressor is not running , Remove the 8" X 10 " panel , just above the large panel first removed . Unplug the refrig . Remove the control board , and on the other side of the board ( soldered side ) , look just behind the small black boxes ( located on the other side ) and look for a joint which has become unsoldered . Resolder this spot and reinstall the board . Plug the refrig back in , and see if compressor starts . OR , you can replace the control board pt # WR55X10656 .

Compressor & Evap. Fan both work for 12 hours then evap stops

I believe that because defrost is done by the mother control board this is why this is happening the part of the board that controls defrost is malfunctioning and the only way to resolve the problem is to replace the mother board part number WR55X10656 You can find the replacement board at these places below. Refrigerator and freezer stopped making cold over night, its a GE

Hi,

Try to check for Warranty protection, and if the time coverage has not yet elapsed. If it has not, try to take to service technician, if it has, then the problem is just the Coolant, a chemical liquid that when its volume is expanded, its temperature drastically drops, its called freon. Try see if you can replace the coolant. :)

GE Profile Stainless Steel Top Freezer Refrigerator

Check the compressor.
Unplug for 15-20 min. plug it back in and listen for the compressor to start. You will have to be behind the ref to listen and make sure you hear the compressor start and not just a fan running. If you hear a clicking noise then the compressor relay is bad.
