I would use the 220volt 60amp available at any hardware store. Just make sure you check the wall outlet you are going to use. The Dryer and Range are not the same.

Kitchenaid KECC502 Electric Cooktop: LED light at the left rear knob is always on but the left rear burner single or dual does not work. I tried to turn knob on and off but nothing enable burner.

I wish I had the exact answer, because I have the same exact problem!!! You posted this about a month ago, which is when my unit started having LED "on" problems. Just in the past week, the top left power on LED will not go off, and nothing I can do gets the dual large burner to come on. Any thoughts??? Reply to: [email protected]

One of the burners on my kitchenaid cooktop will not heat up. What do you think the problem is? Is this something that can be easily repaired?

If it is not a glass top stove, with the power OFF, and cold, pull out a working element of the same diameter and install it where the non-working element was. Try it now. If it works, replace the heating element. If it does not, check for voltage at the element connector. CAREFULLY. Worst case is that the switch requires replacing.

DeBruce Polish should remove those types of problems and also render the surface more "Cleanable". This stuff really works on glass anomalies.
