Hot point Aquarius tcl770- We have just moved and the machine got tilted while carrying it and unfortunately some water got into the machine. Every time I put the machine on it tripped. Hubby removed the back and lots of water came out- we dried it out and voila! It worked. However although it works there is no heat. Also after its been on a while all the lights on the front start flashing (high heat button, delay timer etc) Any ideas? Thank you x

Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

Below is a link to common solutions that will help you with parts and diagnostic procedures that are specifically tuned to your manufacturers data plate information.
It provides exploded view imagery, belt routing diagrams, parts imagery and function, parts ordering and shipping information, error code details, just about anything you need to get your appliance up and running again.

Tip: Always provide the complete information provided on the manufacturers product information data tag, located on the unit, and not in the user’s manual. This will help you acquire a more accurate and expeditious response to your complaint.

If your dryer doesn't heat, check these:

Power from the house
Heating element
Thermal fuse
Wiring
Power from the house Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected.

Heating element Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.

Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)

Wiring A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

SOURCE: Timer only works on Timed Dry Setting

Check your heating element. If one coil of the heating element is burnt out the dryer will heat on the remaining coil, but the timer will not advance in automatic dry.

SOURCE: dryer trips breaker after 10 minutes using low or high heat

Start at the source. See if your breaker is big enough to handel the load for extended periods of time. A dryer uses a large amount of amps and can wear out a breaker that is not big enough. A dryer breaker should be 50a or 60a or if it is it may just be worn out. If that's not it then you may have a bad element. This is the part that makes the heat. You have to pry the front top of the dryer up and tilt it back. The element is on the back of the drum. It's shaped like a disk with a small tab on each side to screw it down. Hope this helps. Good luck.

SOURCE: My dryer is heating up but isn't drying the clothes

I would be REALLY suspicious of the exhaust vent. If the dryer is heating up and the drum is turning, it has to dry the clothes UNLESS there is no air going through the dryer. Disconnect the air outlet flexible plastic duct at the back of the unit, and turn it on. If there is no or very little air coming out, the inside of the unit will be plugged with lint. If there is lots of air coming out, the exhaust duct or the outside flapper will be plugged. Sometimes if the exhaust is routed through a cold space there will be so much condensation in the duct that it will droop and literally fill up with water.

Hot point aquarius 1100 - does this have a heating element for cold water feed ? or does is need direct hot water feed ? (there is a inlet at back for both hot and cold so presume no heating element ?)

All Hotpoint washers have heater element regardless of whether they are cold fill only, or hot and cold fill.
if 2 connections at rear, then it is hot and cold fill, if only 1 connection, then it is cold fill only.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Hotpoint aquarius wf 640

You cant seal off the inlet, but you can get a Y adapter, its a hose that splits into 2 outlets. They are most often used to hook up steam dryers but will work for wha you need, this will allow you to use it but it will not get the best cleaning results
