MY LAPTOP MODEL IS DELL INSPIRON 700M. sERVICE TAG IS C3S2581. wHEN I TURN ON MY COMPUTER BIOS PASSWORD IS PROMPTED.AFTER THAT THEY PROMPT FOR MASTER PASSWORD. I DONT KNOW BIOS AS WELL AS MASTER PASSWORD. CAN YOU HELP ME

You need to remove the battery of computer and wait for a minute then reinsert and turn on the pc. This will remove the password.

Remove BIOS battery. Short BIOS jumper or leave the battery out for a long time(Over night,maybe) This should default the BIOS to having no pass word present.  If that doesn't work then evidently Dell has one within the BIOS . Just ask them.

If you've lost the HDD password, you'll need to contact Dell Technical Support 800-624-9896 and have a master password generated.

Only other option to bypass a HDD password is to replace the HDD

if you are getting prompt, "This computer <Service tag number>-595B is password protected ..... you'll need to call Dell technical support to get the master password generated to clear the message. There is no hardware way to clear the password short of replacing the motherboard. Same applies for a BIOS level Hard Drive Password.

Have a dell inspiron 700m and this morning i turned on my computer and got the BIOS password screen, i have never set up the Bios password so i am not sure what the password should be or why it is asking...

Dell Inspiron BIOS Password Recovery
Each Dell Inspiron has a master password which will clear the BIOS password. You can get this number by calling Dell Technical Support at (800)624-9896.
Dell Technical Support will request the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the bottom of your Inspiron.
If you were not the original owner of the Inspiron, Dell will transfer registration of the used Inspiron from the original owner with only the Service Tag and Express Service Code from the tag on the laptop.
To transfer the registration of a used Dell Inspiron, fill out the Transfer of Ownership form on Dell's web site.
