"Is there an easy solution to repairing corrupt system files in windows 7 64 bit?" What I mean is when you perform a System File Check in the command prompt you get a error that windows found corrupt filse but was unable to repair them, my question is are there any solutions to this problem other than doing an upgrade or clean install? I've tried system restore, but the files are stll corrupt and also tried to create an image file, but Windows doesn't recognize the image. What can be done to resolve the corrupt files issue?
Try the chkdsk utility by running command prompt in Administrator mode ("cmd" in the windows search bar, right clicking to "run as administrator") and then typing "chkdsk /f" into the prompt, and following the instructions in the window. Then you just restart the computer. Hope this helps.
You have done everything I would have suggested, at this point a clean install of your operational system is the only real option to remedy this situation.

You can also schedule a run of the chkdsk utility, which fixes a lot of errors like these by typing "cmd" into the windows search bar, and then right-clicking on the command prompt icon and clicking "run as administrator" After you have done that, type "chkdsk /f" into the prompt. Follow the directions in the prompt, and after you have scheduled it, restart your computer.
