Got messages my drivers needed to be updated. I had a message that seemed to be from Microsoft and my computer manufacturer. It went to driversupport.com .They said I had drivers to be updated.

These popups that look like they are from windows are scams. You may have gotten updated drivers, or you may not. You may even have gotten some malware. Sadly, drivers updates, if they are needed are almost always free from the manufacturer. There is no need to pay for them. And besides, the only time you NEED to update your drivers is when they no longer work correctly. the only way that will happen is if you update your hardware and need a newer driver, or perhaps some new program needs a newer version of a driver to run properly. Otherwise, there is no need to update drivers even if they are available. Most original drivers are modified by the manufacturer to work optimally on their machine. Most updates are generic for the chip type and may not be as well optimized even though they are newer. This is one of those situations where I usually tell folks, "If it ain't broke, don't go trying to fix it!"
