RCA F27667 No Picture / Chirping sound

My RCA F27667 made a loud pop or crack and now has no picture and makes a chirping sound when plugged in. Any ideas on what is wrong? Is this worth fixing? Thanks in advance, JR

I will bet you 10 to 1 that the flyback transformer and the horizontal output transistor is bad. an no at this point the set is not worth fixing.

60 in RCA rear projection making a chirping noise no picture no sound

Chirping is almost always caused by the HOT transistor and Flyback transformer. You can get the Flyback with HOT repair kit for your model from www.tvrepairworld.com they are listed under the RCA Repair kits.

Rca hd52w59 chirping sound and light 3 times no picture

chirping sound is a short of some kind, could be the flyack or horizontal output, could also be a bad picture tube or power supply capacitors, you really need a tv repairman to troubleshoot this.

No picture or sound - TV makes chirping noise

The chirping sound is the power supply coming up then breaking down because there is a short somwhere in the high voltage. The most common fail in this area is the horizontal output is shorted ( 237470 ) but what cause this short could be simple cold solder joints or the High voltage transformer ( 239111 ) If you have noway to "ring" the flyback change both parts
