I have '75 Marantz 1030 amplifier. Is it worth fixing? I bought it new and stored it away 10 years ago. Are there parts available for rebuilding it?

Yes you can still get parts for these. You will however need to know about rebuilding electronics. Be able to read schematics and have to tools necessary to perform testing circuits. I have rebuilt many Marantz vintage receivers as well as Pioneer, Sansui, McIntosh and so on. Keep the unit alive. Don't toss it. If you cant work on it yourself find someone who can and if you can. If you can afford the cost of repair donate it to someone who has a passion for rebuilding these and keeping them in circulation. These are very nice sounding units once you get them serviced and up and running.

Sr 4300 reciever will work for 10 mins or so then cuts out

It may be an overheating problem. Make sure it is well ventilated. Also it could have a build up of dust bunnies inside in some of the heatsinks. If you are comfortable with it, take of the cover and gently blow it out with a compressor (low PSI) or canned air so it is clean inside. May also be an intermittent part which is a bit harder to find.

Philips

if you bought it under one year ago then the retailer should be obliged to either replace it or repair it. I would look into this further, ask to speak to the manager or something casue when a tv switches itself off it indicates an error inside and turns itself off to prevent further damage.

Center channel goes muffled after a while of use.

It is likely that something overheating is causing the problem, but nothing should be overheating. Cleaning won't hurt and may help but it is likely to require repair of the faulty component, perhaps a failing capacitor or amplifier.

Marantz cr2020 cd player

I have had this problem twice now in ten years, each time took it to get repaired at a marantz dealer and they replaced the laser. First time was about $150, second time they didn't charge me. No problems otherwise - which for an integrated item like this, where so many things can go wrong, is pretty good.

SR4300 Centre Channel

Hi...

Try another GOOD speaker on your centre channel.
If the buzz ....buzzes off, it's a bad speaker.
If not , It's in the power amp section on the unit.
