Plugged in, but seemingly no power

The television is plugged in, but it doesn't seem to recognize that there is power. The socket is live. The cord has not shorted out in fact the red light glows indicating there is power; however, when I plug it into the television, the red light begins to frantically blink.

I have the same problem. I'm wonder if it is the power supply??? Power Light glows red but, when I plug it in to the tv it blinks. no screen diplay, no time display.

Same problem. Power supply light is steady until I plug it in to the TV then it just blinks and nothing else happens. I checked the power supply and it has the right output even with a load.

I am currently going to school for electronics technician and I have this same set. Mine was working for a while then one day quit so I took it to school and had my teachers help me look at it and mine was doing the same thing it is getting power but the buttons and display arent working but everything else has power. What I found to be wrong is there is a chip underneath the screen that shows you what station yor on. well that chip is fried since it is a cmos chip it can go bad easily with just a lil bit of a power suge the only way to fix it is to replace the board it is on.

TV SEEMS TO NOT BE GETTING POWER, YES WALL SOCKET FINE. IS THERE A RESET BUTTON SOMEWHERE SONY KV 35S42

Hello,

The power panel is faulty that is why the television is not getting power from the socket.

Turn to the back of the television, then you unscrew the screws, after doing that, trace the cord that is plugged to the panel it is connected to on the inside part of the television, you will se it attached to a panel, the panel is what you are to check.

It will either have bad capacitor or will look burnt, so either ways, you try to replace the power panel and it will be in good condition once again.

Take care and good luck

Have you contacted WDE.. by email,or, phone? Seems like that the hard drive has had its bios info corrupted , due to possibly hooking it up to the pc(in the wrong order), or even, a power surge that you were not aware of... The Manufacturer can send you a link to upgrade/restore the harddrive bios...

You should connect your TV to an Active DtH Connection or a Live TV Cable or even to a working DVD/VCD Player etc. and tune it to the frequency of the same and it should start working. If it doesn't, please contact Service Center.
