Question about Parsons QuickVerse 7 Essentials (fe11044) for PC

1 Answer

Loading problem Everything seems to load properly from the cd-rom, except there is nothing in the text screen. Just blank. I turned off the Anti-virus and Firewall before installing as suggested by quickverse. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same result. I contacted quickverse tech support and was told they were aware of some people having this problem but had no solution since they had been unable to recreate the problem there. Help me if you can. Thanks,

Having problems installing QuickVerse 2006 MacAuthur Commentary Library, Vol.1 & R. C. Sproul Library, Vol. 1?

CD will go through the inital setup, and once it starts its installation process, it stops installing at 5%. Is there a solution in correcting this problem?

Upgrade CD/DVD ROM to CD-RW/DVD ROM

I just replaced my original CD/DVD ROM with a Toshiba SD-R2512 CD-RW/DVD ROM in my 1805-S253 running Windows ME. I used "Roxio Easy CD Creator" for writing to CD's. Everything was "plug'n'play" except the bezel that came with the new drive had to be swapped out. Windows ME recognized the new drive immediately and I didn't have to load any new drivers. This upgrade will probably work on other 1800 or 1805 Satellite series machines.

When I turn my Toshiba A45-S151 laptop on, I first get the screen that shows the Toshiba logo and has the four icons under the logo. Usually the next screen is black, has a cursor in the top left corner,...

That blinking cursor is the way in which the BIOS is telling you that Windows is not loading because its most critical, core files have been corrupted beyond repair. The only thing you can do is to reinstall using the recovery cd or your own Windows install disk.

Status:Oxc000000f,can this problem be sorted out without recovery discs or windows installation disc?

First download the recovery cd from here.
Second Burn it to CD
Then turn off your computer, then after that, turn on again your computer and while the screen is blank, just keep tapping F8 key until you will see the advanced boot options, select your CD ROM.After that, click repair computer, after you click that windows will load you will then choose the US as keyboard layout just follow the on-screen instruction,if you will see like "choose an recovery option", just choose start-up repair and then your computer will begin the start-up repair
Hope will work, but if nothing happens you need to reinstall the Operating System of your computer.

Why my [sony cd rw dvd rom] will not detect a blank dvd disk

If you have the sony CD RW DVD ROM then you can't burn the data in a blank DVD.

Because your Configuration is :
Read : CD / DVD
Write : CD

This means you have a combo drive. But to burn a DVD you should have DVD RW.

Computer turns on, wont load windows, then goes to a blank screen

When a PC boots first it checks all of the hardware to ensure all is working properly. The stage two of that is turning it over to the operating system. When it is turned over to the operating system the first thing it looks for is the Master Boot Record which is a small program on your hard drive that starts your operating system. If it cannot find the Master Boot Record or if the boot record is corrupt then the operating system will not load. In order to fix put the WIndows operating system disk into your CD ROM and let it boot to the CD ROM. Allow it to load for a few minutes and it will eventually ask you if you want to proceed with the installation or "repair". Choose repair. This is one option to fix your boot record.
Second option is to use Recovery Console. Put the Windows CD in the CD ROM. Click on Start and then Run. In the run box type D:\i386\winnt32.exe /cmdcons (where D is your CD ROM drive). Follow the instructions on the screen. You will be at the command line, type in FIXBOOT. This will also fix your master boot record. Follow these procedures anytime you have an operating system load error use the Recovery CD as your last resort. Hope this helps.
