Motorized Screen gets stuck sometimes - Any fix for it?
I have a Alpine IVA-C800 (As far as I can tell, no different than the IVA-C801 which is why I am posting here as the C800 doesn't appear on this site) and the screen gets stuck when I retract it about 50% of the time. The screen also gets stuck when opening as well when it gets to the part where it lifts up. I have to help it by pushing it. I have tried adjusting it using the controls but the screen will not full open by itself and closing is now 50/50. Is there any way to fix this? It's the only thing wrong with it. Thanks.

sounds like it.. try to find the small reset button usually on the face of the radio or sometimes behind the detatchable face. you can only push it with a pen this will reset the system and may reset the cd mechanism
based on my previous experience with the Alpine Mobile Multimedia
Station, 1 wire needs to see 12 volts ie. brake light wire, the other
needs to see ground ie. parking brake.
You can hook up the wire that needs 12 volts to either ignition or some
other 12 volt source. The other wire needs to be connected to a toggle
switch to ground. Then flip the switch as needed to simulate the
parking brake and voila...
