SOURCE: Have purcahsed a SanDisk microSDHC Card to store

Thank you for your question.

The first thought that comes to mind, possibly the SD card needs to be formatted to accept information. Check that the SD card is recognised in "My Computer or Windows Explorer", if it is, then right click, select Format Disk, then format as "FAT32" (or "NTFS" if available).

Kind regards

Quikcell 8Gb micro sdhc card

What is your question? If you're asking whether you can use a microSDHC card with this camera, then the answer is yes (with the proper microSDHC-to-SD adapter).

Sd card not being read. I have tried two different 4gb SD cards. These cards have the smaller mico chip inside the SD card. I also tried to format the card with the camera but not able to do this...

The DC-1020 works with SD cards up to 2GB in size, not SDHC cards 4GB and larger. The same limitations apply to microSD and microSDHC cards used with adapters. The adapter will make a microSDHC card appear as an SDHC card to the camera.

You need to use SD or microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

What is the maximum size microSD card that can be used?

The A520 uses SD cards. SD cards max out at 2GB in size. A microSD card in an adapter looks exactly like a SD card to the camera, and microSD cards also max out at 2GB. Anything larger is a SDHC or microSDHC card. While they will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. So, the short answer is: 2GB.

The SD500 uses SD cards (and by extension, microSD cards). SDHC and microSDHC cards are electronically incompatible. While SDHC cards and microSDHC adapters will fit into the slot, they will not work in SD devices. This is a hardware issue and cannot be updated by firmware. You need to go with SD (and microSD) cards, 2GB and smaller.

Where do i put it in my lap top

It depends on whether your laptop supports SDHC, microSDHC, or neither.

1. Supports MicroSDHC: check on the manual the position of the MicroSDHC slot.

2. Only supports SDHC: you need to purchase an adapter - essentially a full-size SDHC with a slot where the MicroSDHC goes. Plug the micro card in the adapter, plug the adapter+card into the SDHC slot.

3. Neither: you need to purchase both a micro-to-SDHC adapter and a SDHC-to-USB reader (usually SDHC in supported in most "XYZ-in-1 readers", like Quanta 32-in-1 USB reader - check out "SDHC USB reader" in eBay, for example).

How do you put your sandisk microSDHC card with adapter in your camera

That depends on the camera. If the camera supports Sandisk Micro, then the SD card will fit into a slot. The slot is often located near to the battery.

You will just have to push card in and camera will automatically read card.

If camera does not read the card, ensure that the camera model can support SanDisk Micro, and that it will also support card size. Older cameras do not support big memory card (eg.4Gb)

Canon a95 camera not found in my new hp laptop to download pictures from camera to laptop with windows vista . disk downloaded the sorftware just fine and it brings up the zoombrowser. Do I need a special...

If you installed the disc that came with your camera into Vista and it still does not recognize the camera when you plug in your USB cable, one quick solution to get the pictures off of your card would be to purchase a card reader (approx. $20 here in the states). That is assuming that the computer does not have one built in. If it does, open the battery door on the camera with the camera off, and press on the card to eject it, put the microSDHC card into the SD adapter and plug that into your card reader into the SD slot. From there you should be ready to go.
