Short maybe? My wine cooler seems to be continuously turning on and off. You can hear the fan running but the led lights blink constantly and it will not stay chilled, any suggestions?

Avanti WCR683DZD-2 LED panel blinks when plugged in. Fan or compressor does not come on. Where should I start to begin trying to repair the unit

If your Avanti WCR683DZD-2 wine cooler's LED panel is blinking when plugged in and neither the fan nor the compressor comes on, there could be a few potential issues. Here are some steps you can take to begin troubleshooting and attempting to repair the unit:
  1. Check power supply: Ensure that the wine cooler is receiving power by verifying that the outlet is functioning correctly. Try plugging in another device to confirm if the outlet is working properly.
  2. Inspect the power cord: Examine the power cord for any signs of damage or wear. Make sure it is securely plugged into the wine cooler and the power outlet.
  3. Check the control board: The blinking LED panel suggests a possible issue with the control board. Inspect the control board for any visible signs of damage, such as burnt components or loose connections. If you are knowledgeable about electronics, you can attempt to repair or replace the control board. Otherwise, it may be best to consult a professional technician or contact Avanti for further assistance.
  4. Test the temperature control thermostat: The thermostat controls the operation of the fan and compressor. Using a multimeter, you can check the continuity of the thermostat to determine if it is functioning correctly. If it is faulty, it may need to be replaced.
  5. Examine the compressor: Inspect the compressor for any visible issues, such as loose connections or damaged wires. Ensure that it is receiving power and that the compressor motor is not overheating. If the compressor is not running, it may require professional servicing or replacement.

Can not get wine cooler to get cool. Red lights keep, blinking. Need structions on how to set it.

If the light is on and no fan or compressor is running then its your thermostat that is bad. That's the only thing that turns on those parts. As you said the unit is new you should contact your dealer either to replace it.

I have an oster wine cooler model #owo912H6H that was not cooling i took the back off and have a blinking red and green light and a fan that would **** and run a few turns and stop i cleaned the fan and it...

Hi,

It seems this is either due to faulty fan or fan motor. This could be a reason that the wine cooler is not cooling at optimum rate. As i cannot see the cooler, this is what i could judge from the information you gave to me.

I would still say, it would be worth repair, if this is due to faulty fan or motor ( motor seems to be the main cause ).

The main tough thing would be to get fan motor. You could try to get a replacement motor or a compatible one from the parts store near your home and give a shot. More likely, you would be successful, if the fault is related to motor.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

FR23SL Uses Peltier Cooling - No compressor nor freon....

Luzer - Thanks for the very helpful solution. My cooler has the problem described. When I take off the back and plug it back in, all three fans run, but the unit does not get cold. Is it possible that it needs new fans anyway (like maybe they are going but not moving enough air to generate the effect)? Or woudl it be something else?

Thanks!

Marvel 61wc wine cooler turns on, but doesn't cool

If you can hear the compressor running and there is no cooling happening your unit has either lost it's refrigerant due to a leak or the compressor is completly worn out (or both). If you just hear the condenser fan running (air blowing), then maybe the compressor just has bad electricals (starting relay, overoad, run capactor) or it has developed a bad winding and will need to be replaced.

If you know you have lost refrigerant the repair will be quite costly and you should consider replacement. If you feel it is a failure of the small electrical parts for the compressor, repair would be more cost effective.

You can get further trouble-shooting assistance and order parts direct from the factory at 800-223-3900.

You can look up a local servicer on their web-site at www.lifeluxurymarvel.com
Should you desire to attempt electrical repair yourself, reply to me and I will provide further troubleshooting assistance or you can contact Marvel Customer Service at the number above. Good-Luck, Subdriver

Wine cooler does not get cool - fans do not run the light and temperature display do work

if you hear the compressor tun on but not the fan, replace the fan and you may have to defrost the evaporator coils. if the compressor does not turn on either, it's the thermostat, the defrost timer, or a relay on the main board.

I just bought a wine cooler not sure where to start to fix it. Fans will not turn on

Hi there.........i take it this is a used / second hand wine cooler......if so you've probably discovered why its been discarded........problem could b due to a faulty compressor unit....the fans are usually wired through the compressor...and run in conjunction with it........if the compressor isnt running then the fans are out .........if the comressor is running then check that there is nothing impeeding the fans rotation.....check for broken or damaged wiring.....check for tampering by someone else....check continuity of wiring through fan coils.........check for faulty starter unit on compressor
