How to get sound from a nady audio 4130 mpm 4 channel power mixer

First, plug it in. Next connect the speakers. Center all eq controls both master and channel. Turn off any reverb or effects. Turn the master volume 1/2 way up. Plug a sound source into channel 1 wiyj the channel volume all the way off. Turn on the amp. Slowly raise the channel volume until you heat output. If you get nothing, it's broken.

Hi. my YAMAHA DSP-A1000, works well only the input selector does not to select. its all static noise and does not seem to lock onto an mode. i have to use the tape 2 monitor to hear music.

The INPUT SELECTOR is defective. Order part number VT148000; it costs $51.04. As of 14 Jan 2011, the part is on backorder until the later part of Feb 2011.

Register online to order the part yourself, or you can place your order by phone at the Yamaha Parts Department at (714) 522-9011 or (888) 892-6242, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm PDT.

https://www.yamaha24x7.com/yamahaoms/QuickOrder.aspx

I hope this post also clarifies the problem from the posts above.

IMPORTANT: After installing the new Input Selector switch, place the knob at 1230 position (between LD and DAT/Tape 1) BEFORE turning the unit ON. The Yamaha Tech said this procedure ensures the input source is properly programmed and aligned.

How to get the effects to work on the mixer

This is in general for Behringer mixers since you did NOT tell us a model number...

To use the effects you adjust the FX knob for EACH channel for the amount of the mic or input you want to send to effects from that channel. This is the "send" mix.

You dial in one of the effects based on the list near the effects selection window with the selector knob and the number will change and start flashing. You press down on the selection knob which will enter the new effects number and the number will be solid and not flashing.

Then there is a knob to select how much of the OUTPUT of the effects you want to go to the main and sometimes one for the amount to the monitors.

That is all there is to it. The effects can be gated by a foot switch input if you desire.

It is a good idea to include a model number as your thing is posted as if it is a PMP3000 mixer.

Terrible static on left side of all channels

Hi...

Unplug all the inputs to the amp.

Does the problem go away?

If its only the left sometimes, it sounds like the speaker selector switch or source selector switch needs a good cleaning with some de-oxit and a small brush

I have a Yamaha Natural Sound Stereo Receiver RX-750 (purchased maybe around 1992-1993?). The input selector switch doesn't seem to be working properly. No matter which input I select, the sound is fuzzy...

Hi cfipp
You could fix this problem with a quick squirt of CRC 2-26 into the function selector switch connected to the knob you are wriggling. This will sort out the problem. If you need further advice, feel free to ask me. I will help you.

Please explain the working of this code

It's a Java http server (webserver) that serves random "prices" if they match a search string.

Well here is an explaination:

private static String[] symbols = {"DELL", "INTC", "MSFT", "ORCL", "SUNW"};
These are search strings

private static Random rnd = new Random();
This generates a random number

private static Charset cs = Charset.forName("UTF-8");
This is the charset that the http server uses

ServerSocketChannel server = ServerSocketChannel.open();
Create a new server

server.socket().bind(new InetSocketAddress(8055));
Bind the http server to port 8055

The rest is handling the request and processing it

But here:
if(Arrays.binarySearch(symbols, symbol) >= 0)
response = "Price is " + (1000 + rnd.nextInt(9000)) / 100.0;
else
response = "Price not available";
channel.write(cs.encode("HTTP/1.0 200 OK "));
channel.write(cs.encode("Content-type: text/plain "));
channel.write(cs.encode(response));
channel.close();
}
It sees if the string input matchs: DELL INTC MSFT ORCL SUNW.

(private static String[] symbols = {"DELL", "INTC", "MSFT", "ORCL", "SUNW"};)
If so, it gives a price based on a random number.
(
response = "Price is " + (1000 + rnd.nextInt(9000)) / 100.0;)
Or else
It says "price not available"
then it gives a html header to end the error message.

Hope I helped you :)
Gook luck
