I need driver called mtp usb device for my c2-03 mobile

Many devices use Microsoft's Media Transfer Protocol to synchronize with computers. Unlike standard USB mass storage devices, MTP devices don't behave like USB flash drives. Windows Media Player includes built-in support for MTP devices and can synchronize media files to and from them. You can download MP3s to your portable music player, cellphone or other MTP device using Windows Media Player's sync feature. The device appears in Windows Media Player when you connect it to your computer.

I installed my sony NWZ as MTP device, but now i want to go back to simpler UMS (standard usb connection) ive tried removing the mtp drivers from device manager, but it always just auto installs... Can...

Since there's no easy option in the Walkman's settings to switch back and forth between MTP and UMS, there's a little trick to un-do the MTP drivers so that the unit becomes a straight USB Mass Storage drag/drop unit. You have to go into Device Manager (Windows XP), find the Walkman in the Portable Devices group, right click, then select Update Driver. Then select "No, not this time", then Next. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) then Next. Select "Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install", then Next. (Be sure to check the box beside Show Compatible Hardware) Highlight USB Mass Storage Device, then Next. (To revert back to MTP, just do the same thing but choose MTP instead of USB Mass Storage Device.) Personally, I'd never go back to the MTP mode. Having the Walkman seen by the computer as just another USB mass storage device allows the drag/drop transfers to go much faster

I first found that when I plugged my player into my computer it registered it as a MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) device and in turn never showed up as a storage device on my computer. I fixed this by going into my Control Panel -> System Icon -> Hardware Tab -> Device Manager button.

Clicking on the "System Devices" tab should have "Walkman" or MTP device. Right click on it and go to properties, now before doing anything it should say "Location -- ------ Location 0 (Walkman)" if not try unplugging the walkman and see if the MTP device you're looking at is removed from the list, just to make sure it's the right device we're looking for.

If you've confirmed it's the Walkman, click on the "Driver tab" and click on "Update Driver...". Then click on the "Install from a list or a specific location (Advanced)" option and click "Next". Now select the "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install." and click next. It should now bring up 2 driver choices, one being "MTP Device" and the other "USB Mass Storage Device". Select the USB option and select next, it will then install your walkman as a USB storage device and after that's done. It should be a matter of unplugging and plugging the Walkman back in and it should show up on your storage options in "My Computer"

Hung in a transfer loop after being removed from PC

When I (USB) plug in my RCA Opal M4002A mp3 player into my "Office PC" it works fine, but when I plug it into my "Studio PC" the "Opal" screen shows "USB connected" and so does the "PC" with the "Device Connected Sound" but then the "Mouse Pointer" changes to the "Hour Glass" you hear the "System Notification Sound" then the "Mouse Pointer" changes back to the default "Arrow Pointer" and this back and forth action loops endlessly until I unplug it. I've tried everything. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Quaal
*** ONLY THIS PART OF THE ABOVE MESSAGE IS MINE ***
ALSO I HAVE THE "RCA Opal M4002A" (2GB) mp3 player.
*** After much trial and error this FIXED my problem. ***
1 - First right mouse click on "My Computer".
2 - Left click on "Properties"- Left click on "Hardware"- Left click on "Device Manager".
3 - Now with one end of the USB cable plugged into your mp3 player, plug the other into your USB port. (Now when I did this a new "Portable Device" icon with an "MTP" Driver (sub icon) showed up in the "Devices List". (The "MTP" icon had an "!" on it, telling my it wasn't working properly. I then did this.
4 - Right click on "MTP" driver icon, then ...
5 - Left click on "Update Driver". (I was then given two choices. The top one was the faulty "Portable Device" driver which I had done everything I could to fix, but nothing worked. So I then did this ...
6 - Left click on the "Mass Storage" Driver (the second choice below it in the list), I then clicked "OK". The "Updating Driver" screen showed for a moment. The "Portable Device / MTP Driver(!)" icon vanished from the "Device Manager" devices list, But the looping STOPPED!!! My Opal was working beautifully and showing in my "Root Directory" as Drive j: and in "Device Manager" under "Disk Drives" as "Thomson Opal USB Device".
P.S. For some reason the file transfers are noticeably faster now. Good Luck, Quaal

Deleting demo songs

For Windows XPTM users, you are connecting the device in MTP mode to the computer by default. You will need to set the device to MSC mode, so go to the device menu\Settings\Advanced\Protocol = > Press Play/Pause key to select MSC mode which will appear as such on the screen. Reconnect the device to the computer, and you can now see those files and delete them.
DO NOT forget to set the device back to MTP mode when finished, so go to device menu\Setting\Advanced = > Select MTP mode.
