Question about SVA-USA HD4208TIII-PDP 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma Television

1 Answer

SVA TV I bought an SVA HD4208Tiii-PDP, since day one I have had the following problem, with Comcast tech help we connected the HD box to the tv throught the VGA to RCA cable supplied by SVA. first problem we found was with box set on 1080i res, the screen would jump and the info box on the TV would switch from "serching for signal" to "aquirering signal" in both the TV RGB mode and the Pr ... something mode, but no picture just jumping, when box set at 720p works find with tv in Prp... mode but with tv in RGB mode (which SVA said is the only setting to get HDTV 1080i) i get all green picture. We found that in this mode only the green RCA plug was active and the other two were dead wires. I unplugged the green wire and plugged it into each of the others and watched the screen go from black to green to red to blue. I have tried for months now to contact SVA but no answers from them. I ordered a new cable from Cables to go, and I am hoping this is the problem. If the tv has the same problems with the new cables what is my next move? where do I get help?

Tech thanks but I finally got SVA on the phone, I was told the only way this TV can get 1080i res is through a 15 pin vga cable, not a 15 pin vga to rca cable. so now i have to find how to get a vga to vga cable connection from a comcast HD box (which doesn't have a vga port to the TV. they also told me the other problem I am having is i am trying to connect the comcast componit connection to the tv YPrPb connection

If you had this problem from Day one, you should go directly who you bought it from and see what they can do for you for the company info or service agent.

Is there a remote for SVA PDP HD4208TIII that is a universal remote or would I have to buy the original one for approx $40 ish ????

There are universal remotes that seem to be able to operate almost anything, available at stores, but I don't know how much you would save over the $40 original... The Universal remote could be used with a new TV when you replace this one, though.

My hd4208TIII-PDP WONT COME OUT OF STANDBY MODE

You Need a new Power Supply, part # LJ44-00025A
buy it here for $139 http://www.adc-ast.com/
I have my tv working like new.
If you want this time the power supply last, do not turn off, just press tv/video button to switch input source, let the tv in sleep mode.
