Picture shows up for about 3 seconds then the screen goes black

The monitor displays a perfect picture for about 3 seconds then goes black and the power light blinks yellow as if it is in power save mode. Once it is off for a while you can turn it back on and have the same thing happen. It has this same problem on any pc connected to it so I know it's not a resolution problem.

Hmmm... I had the same exact problem, but I had the extended warranty from Circuit City. I called them and they sent me a new one in 3 days. I don't think there is any DIY fix for this. It's an internal power issue.

XEROX 19" (XG92D) 5 MONTHS OLD...IT GOES TO WHITE WHEN WINDOWS TELLS IT TO TRUN OFF AFTER 2 HRS...IT GETS HARDER TO COME ON EACH TIME IT IS TURNED OFF. I TOLD WINDOWS TO NEVER TURN IT OFF. IF THE POWER GOES OFF I MUST TURNED IT OFF AND ON MANY TIMES, THEN IT COMES ON. I THINK IT MAY NOT COME ON NEXT TIME...

did you adjust the brightness, also in windows settings?
pls check with another monitor ,also you can check monitor with another pc or laptop
try with reset the monitor settings
also change the resolution and display frequency

Monitor goes blank after 3 seconds -Samsung SyncMaster 920NW
Could be a power issue. If it doesn't show anything at all then that may be the case. It may also be the display itself. It would be a costly repair so you might be better off finding a new monitor.

Video (picture) must be constantly entering a monitor for a monitor to continue to display a picture after it self tests (goes on for a second or, two) Your monitor is fine; check it using another known good computer.

A17w221 goes off automatically with power on
I have the same problem. The next stage is that the picture won't come on at all and the blue light will constantly blink. I think the light source is bad. Noit sure though.

the 12V is for speakers.. the 245bw takes regular 120V AC (same cord as your computer)

the buzzing is annoying, though. i don't know if it's a "feature" or just a side effect.. ie, if i could take the case off and poke around, i would. 4 times out of 5 it's some dumb piece of tin reverberating from a transformer or something..

Try connecting the wires properly. try changing the VGA cable. i had the same problem my screen goes black some times and pink i changed the VGA cable it was absolutely fine!!!
