Question about Proscan 19LA25Q 19 in. LCD Television

Universal remotes for proscan

I have the 19la25q and now have tried 3 different universal remotes
the best i can do is a Phillips PMdvd6 the 2 and 3 digits make channels go up and down . the Power button turns the set off and on. No other functions work.

any suggestions to get a remote which works the way it should??

Remotes.com (1-800-remotes) has a remote for this tv. One for all remotes and radio shack remotes do not have a device code for this tv. Proscan is not made by GE, RCA, Thompson any more. They are marketed by oncorpus.com now.

I bought my 19" Proscan LCD (19LA25Q) used from a
The Proscan 19LA25Q came with a remote originally. Unless the IR receiver has failed, it should work with a universal remote. (Note: if the TV is newer than the remote (or released less than 6 months before the remote was programmed), the remote codes for your TV may not be included.) Since the code lists on universal remotes do vary depending on the age and model, please give more information than just the brand. GE remotes usually have a version code label in the battery compartment. This version code is needed to look up the correct code lists. Some GE universal remote built by Jasco codes are here: https://byjasco.com/support/ge-universal-remote-codes.

The Proscan 19LA25Q was probably built in 2007, since there are reviews from 2007. That was also the year when this size TV had to have an ATSC tuner. So if your remotes were programmed before July 2007, they may not be compatible. Some of the current Proscan TVs probably use the same parts as some Sylvania, RCA and Curtis TVs.The 19LA25Q was warranted by On Corporation which has control of the RCA brand now. However, I don't know when they bought the label.

Hi,

These remote codes also depend on what the exact make and model of the remote control is that you are using. These remotes can also use 2,3,4 or even 5 digits. The other factor is that some universal remotes will recognise the code for your proscan TV - but others will not depending on how they are programmed.

I will give you the most common 4 digit codes for Proscan and hopefully these work for you. If not please post up further detail on the remote control - exact make and model no. that you are using in order for us to solve the problem.

Common Proscan TV codes:

0000, 0015, 0031, 0107, 0162, 0163,1000, 1008, 1068, 1108, 2010, 2118, 2144, 2205

Finding a new remote
The most inexpensive solution, is to buy a universal remote. I own a One-for-All universal remote (model URC-4220) which works with Proscan TVs. I bought it at Walmart for less than 10 dollars.
You can also find a list of companies that sell Proscan remotes, by typing PROSCAN TV REMOTES into the Google searchbox.
These companies will charge you more money, for their remotes.

Proscan television
Look at the infrared output of the remote through a video camera. You can see whether or not the remote is working in the camera. One for all universals do not have a device code for this tv.
