Does the flash fully charge?
If so, it may be that the flash tube is faulty and will require replacing.
This should be done by your authorised Samsung repair centre.

Flash doesn't work. Flash icon shows on screen but doesn't fire.

It is detecting it has enough light and not flashing. Look for an "indoor" or other appropriate mode for what you are shooting since most Samsung cameras have them. The flash will only go off when the camera thinks it is needed. Canon Cameras are useless indoors but Samsung's are pretty good indoors when you find the right setting. Their latest models have dozens of modes, most of which you will never use. They are just VERY slow to take pictures. It appears to be cheaper version of their WB250F I had for a while.

P.S. - Never drop a Sansung camera. They will chip and even get damaged from as little as a foot or so. I had one fall about a foot onto pavement and it was permanently ruined. Their older models also stop with lens out when the battery dies but the Galaxy Cam is finally smart enough to retract the lens before the battery dies. It alos does so when shutting down unlike the older models.

My Samsung S630 Digital Camera doesn't flash after a series of picture taking. Now it fails to flash although I set in Manual mode and selected Flash manuall, but still t doesn't flash. What should I do?...

Hi there remove the memory card and reset the camera. Now turn on the camera with out the memory card and make the camera flash light ON mode and take a snap. If the flash not working after this setting, then you need to replace the flash tube. The flash tube is cut off and thats why its not working.

Pictures I'm taking indoors always come out yellow, even when I use my flash. I am taking pictures in dept. stores. HELP!

Check your white balance....it may be on the wrong setting. Either use "auto WB" or if you're using flash, flash WB.

Dear Sir,
1.Please put your camera in manual mode or program mode after this select the flash option and then select fill in mode.
2.After this press the shutter button and hold it this will energize the flash and help to take the photo.
3.If these steps do not work then you will have to change the batteries.

My camera was dropped and since then it won't take pictures using the flash. The screen keeps saying "F 2.8 1/45" while the flash is charging, but never takes a picture. The camera takes pictures fine...

This means the flash or flash circuitry broke due to the drop. The camera will take pictures as long as the flash is not required. Only resolution is to have the camera repaired, which unfortunately may cost more than the camera is worth.

My S630 Samsung shows a code on the screen evry time I try to take a picture. The code is F2.8 1/45 and the little eye on the left that indicates the flash blinks for a few seconds.

your carera is set on shutter priority,,,
change it to auto
what its telling you is,, its set at a lens opening of F2.8 ( thats wide open ,,,so little or no depth of field in photos) ,(and a shutter speed of 1.45 of a second?) witch means its realy dark were you are??
the little eye flashing tells you to use the flash,,,
i bet you have left it set on flash photos only?
switch it over to auto mode and out of flash mode!

How to use selftimer on Samsung S630

Hey hpnotiq_babe,
Directions on how to set the self timer on this camera are on page 27 of your camera manual. I have included a link to a PDF download of your camera manual in case you need it. I have copied the instructions on how to set the self timer on your camera below. I hope this helps!

● Selecting the self-timer
1. Rotate the MODE DIAL to select a RECORDING
mode with the exception of VOICE RECORDING
mode.
2. Press the SELF-TIMER button until the desired
mode indicator displays on the LCD monitor.
A 10 second, 2 second or double self-timer icon
appears on the LCD monitor. In Movie Clip mode,
only the 10-second self-timer will work.
•2SEC self-timer ( )
: Pressing the shutter button will allow an
interval of 2 seconds before the image is
taken.
•10SEC self-timer ( )
: Pressing the shutter button will allow an
interval of 10 seconds before the image is taken.
•Double self-timer ( )
: A picture will be taken after about 10 seconds and 2 seconds later a
second picture will be taken. When using the flash, the 2-second self-timer
may be delayed for longer than 2 seconds depending on the flash charge
time.
3. When you press the SHUTTER button, the picture will be taken after the
specified time has elapsed.

Flash

make sure that there is enough light on china or a picture and please off the flash and take a picture.
since the surfaces are very smooth, the flash automatically reflects.this is called reflection of light phenomenon in physics.
so,make sure that there is enough light and switch off the flash, while you are taking a picture of that.
